Cape Town’s Butterfly World is home to an unexpected assortment of other creatures, including this lone bat who seemed to slumber unpreturbed by the goings on around him – particularly a noisy parrot that jabbered as it studied him a nearby roof beam.

Before I watched it hanging there snoozing blissfully I would have said ‘no way’ to anything to do with a bat, but he grew on me and is really cute. The way he slept on with that parrot squawking made him even more endearing 🙂
