Flamingos
Walvis Bay on the Namibian coast is considered to be one of the best spots in the world to view flamingos. I captured these on a gloomy, overcast morning after wading through several metres of slippery, smelly mud.
Thanks Janie 🙂 It was pretty amazing even with smelly mud caked on my feet. There was a bit of noise, but pleasant and nowhere near as noisy as seal and pelican colonies off the Point in Walvis. Being in the middle of the larger flocks was probably a lot noisier as there were literally hundreds of them – clouds of flamingos for miles. 🙂
Beautiful shots Karen, that must have been quite a sight! Are they noisy birds?

Pack your bags girl. You can join us in Mozambique afterwards – planning to swim with the dolphins to celebrate a milestone birthday later this year!
